We are excited to announce the launch DYP Member Spotlight!
This is a special feature in order to showcase the amazing work of our diverse DYP member community by highlighting their industry experience, backgrounds, and passions. DYP’s membership ranges from school teachers to investment bankers, from entrepreneurs to web developers, and everywhere in between. Every month, the Membership Committee will present our members on the Member Spotlight platform, a great way to meet your fellow DYP members and discover new friends in your network.
If you would like to be considered, fill out this FORM.
The first DYP Member Spotlight is Tom Choske. Tom is the President and Co-Founder of Freshwater Transit Solutions, LLC, which “works to improve transit in Southeast Michigan.” A Detroiter through and through since birth, Tom graduated from James Madison College of Public Policy of Michigan State University, and works in Detroit because he wants to see it succeed. Tom has accomplished a lot as a young professional. He interned in Berlin at the US Foreign Commercial Service, worked in the Michigan legislature and the US Congress, and working with my business partner to start up Freshwater Transit Solutions. Tom joined DYP to meet other professionals and make the connections that could help me succeed in both business and my career. He is very passionate about current events and enjoys exercising as well as community service. You can reach out to Tom at Tom@FreshwaterTransit.com.
Our second DYP Member Spotlight is Kelly Carter, Senior Consultant at Deloitte Tax LLP. Her passion is to serve her clients through multi-state tax consulting. A native of Oak Park and graduate of Central Michigan University, Kelly studied Accounting Information Systems in 2008 and will earn a law degree from Wayne State University Law School - J.D. in May 2015. Kelly is most proud of her involvements that allow her to serve the youth in her community. Kelly joined DYP in order to stay connected with her community through other young talented professionals. DYP has allowed Kelly to make life-long friendships and professional acquaintances. The "stay connected" attitude of its members is a blessing, according to Kelly. Kelly enjoys traveling, reading, and Lions Football.
