The Detroit Young Professionals Organization (DYP) hosted the 6th Annual Service in the City (SiTC) Mixer on April 24, which recognizes and supports nonprofits from the Metro Detroit area that further causes ranging from environmental to the arts. In 2019, Caleb’s Kids received the top Community Builder Award.
Upon walking into Courtney and Jeff’s studio in St. Claire Shores, I felt like I teleported to a beautiful, calming conservatory. Filled with cacti, lush palms and plants and of course their gorgeous golden retriever, you can’t help but be in awe of their knack for interior design and all beautiful living things put simply. As Co-Founder Courtney said, they like to “rely on blooms and greenery to tell an architectural story and let flowers do their own thing.’
Michelle Kuhar, who as Community Relations/PR Liaison for Covenant House Michigan helps promote the group’s efforts to serve the city’s homeless youth, said working with disadvantaged communities has long been on her heart.
Cochran, a DYP member and owner of Blackwood Credit Services in Southfield, specializes in fixing credit-hostaging situations. After going on a credit recovery of her own, she now helps individuals and small businesses strategically pay off the financial holes they've dug and educate themselves on what their credit report means and why it's important.
