The Detroit Young Professionals Organization (DYP) hosted the 6th Annual Service in the City (SiTC) Mixer on April 24, which recognizes and supports nonprofits from the Metro Detroit area that further causes ranging from environmental to the arts. In 2019, Caleb’s Kids received the top Community Builder Award.
As Detroit gradually progresses in revitalization and regrowth, new companies and professionals are relocating to Detroit, vacant buildings are being purchased and restored, and neighborhoods are being cleaned up. Although a lot can be attributed to professionals leading the improvements that have Detroit on track to come back, volunteers play a major role in it as well.
Earlier this week, we hosted our Behind the Scenes Speaker Series featuring Gail Perry-Mason and IT. WAS. AMAZING. If you’re not familiar, the Behind the Scenes Speaker Series is a DYP Signature event in which we bring in a dynamic, accomplished executive for a candid conversation detailing their path to success, sprinkled with pearls of wisdom that we as young professionals can learn from.
